Challenges: multi channel inventory management with Shopify and NCR Counterpoint

T&G had multiple product websites to manage while enhancing the online experience. Their critical need was to increase efficiency for automating sales and inventory challenges with one store, multiple web domains and warehouse locations. They had previously done this process by manually generating a sales ticket with each shipment.

Project Objectives

  • POS – e commerce Integration – Orders, customers and returns integration between T&G’s NCR Counterpoint POS system and Shopify.  
  • Multi-channel support – Need for bringing orders, customers and inventory management to all sites. Build a single install for managing all websites., and
  • Support fulfillment from multiple Distribution Centers and Retail Store – Ensure inventory is decremented from the Fulfillment center designated in Shopify Order by Item/Fulfillment. 
  • Price/ROI – Hard requirements with special customizations but also hoped to contain costs.

Reporting is easier now. It is very helpful for us that all the RDIce data is available in our local SQL instance so that we are able to audit and report as needed for buyers and C-level.
